Sector 4 Scenario FAQ

Postby PATNO on 13 Nov 2009, 20:31

Ive been getting bombarded with questions from multiple forums about this scenario, so my
buddy kev has put together answers for the most common and pressing questions/issues.
Hope this helps!

Paint - This is a bring your own paint event. That means that what you bring with you is what you have for the scenario. Plan for us not having any paint to sell you. Also regarding tac caps, there are no rules limiting paint load out on the field however if your rocking a tac cap you'll earn my respect and possibly a small bonus asset for being hard core.

Gun hits - Just like any other field if your hit in the gun you are out. This is to keep things simple and streamline the event.

Shooting refs - Don't do it. If you fire on my refs Its like an act of war which means no more assets and always remember, my guns are bigger than yours. This also applies to "accidental" fire. In my opinion there should never be an accidental trigger pull so watch what you shoot at.

**Patno's note to the above issue**

If you shoot a ref, if its an honest accident, the ref will most likely overlook it and just frown upon
you. So it is understandable that a ref may be close to a player that could get shot, and that there
could be a LOT of paint flying. A couple stray hits here and there are acceptable, it happens, and it
is partially up to the ref to cover his/her own butt. Now, our refs know when they are catching more
paint than they should be. So if a ref catches 2, 3 maybe 5 balls when they are right near a firefight
thats probably acceptable. If you have younger/inexperienced players who are still learning, obviously
the ref will take that into account as well. But if a ref is standing way out of the way and they get hit,
well youre in for a world of hurt. If a ref catches more than some accidental paint, you WILL get lit up.
Our refs ARE armed and you WILL pay for firing on the refs. Just remember, no matter how much
you may disagree with a ref, ITS NOT WORTH IT! YOU WILL LOSE!

One of the refs will be carrying my A5 MK48 shooting ~26-28bps with a 500
rd hopper. We also will have an air cannon that shoots clusters of 150 balls, and you dont want to
be on the receiving end of that... Trust me. You WILL be shot if a ref deems they are shot with a
malicious intent. Dont like it? Too bad. Youve been warned. Ignorance is not an excuse. This will
all be explained on gameday as well.

Ive implemented this rule personally myself and it works well. Usually someone shoots a ref ONCE
and never again. If you throw a fit after this happens and you decide to shoot more, well lets not
go there, it will end VERY badly for you and thats all that you need to know.

**End of patno's note**

Bonus balling. - We all know it happens and sometimes its just part of the game. However any excessive bonus ballers will face a choice if they decide to ignore warnings from me or my staff. Either face a selected firing squad from the aggrieved persons or leave the field and face a ban on future events. If you can admit you screwed up and take your punishment like a man all will be forgiven. Keep in mind this will only be used on people that have been warned already and repeatedly ignore the rules.

Out of bounds. - Since the playing area is close to 25 acres and the surrounding property is close to 60 we won't really have boundary lines per say. We will explain where you shouldn't go on maps and such at the pre scenario briefing.

When should we arrive? - Your welcome to show up the Friday night of the weekend and get yourself settled. The event will begin sometime in the late morning or early afternoon on Saturday.

Where is the event? - It is being held 5 minutes south of Rochester Alberta, which is about an hour and 15 minutes north of Edmonton along highway 2. Its an acreage that we have been turning into a military themed paintball field called Sector 4. Detailed directions and a map will be provided closer to the day of the event.

Parking - anybody who wants to bring a camper or a fifth wheel we have a large area of a field for you to set up in. Anybody tenting will be provided an area to set up.

One thing I should have mentioned earlier is that we want to try and keep this event 18+ to simplify the event and to make the after party as much fun as possible. Some exceptions can be made if you want to bring your 16 year old son along or things like that just PM me and state your case. Any minors present will be the responsibility of the people who bring them.

I'll add more info as it comes to mind. Thanks to everyone who has shown interest so far. I hope to make this one of the best events you guys have attended.
