Spencer, first off damn you and your essays! :D

I did not read deep enough on rosters, 8 players should suffice. For a five man team. That
is more than fair.

The three zone capture I sorta understand, like I said in previous posts to grasp it fully,
I would have to play test it or watch it played.

The price is excellent, never said it was expensive. If anything it is almost too cheap,
even in a non-profit scenario, there is little room for infrastructure development with
the funds collected. But that is up to to promoter, and what his goals are year to year.

Off field paint: Only concern you have there is colour and freshness. If someone has staining
paint is it still allowed? Or if their paint is 5 years old is it still allowed. It is a can or worms,
all field owners and promoters have had to tackle.

I am sure I missed some points you had Spencer, but I hit the big ones I hope.

Bushwackers is just opening, I will try and get a squad to fly my colours. I know I can't personally
commit to eight events, as I work weekends. Will try and make one of the first ones, to see
how she goes.

Limey does bring up a good point about teams wanting to join after season has kicked off or if an out of town team wants to test there skills in a league event. Plus this has all happen over the winter and only people that know about it are BCTAC peeps. Tons of paintballers don't know a league is forming. "If you build it they will come."- Waynes World. If its closed they will go play somewhere else.

from talking with people apparently everyone and their dog is putting in a team....... but nobody has stepped forward yet.

we'd need about 4 fully rostered and committed teams to be able to make this work, right now we have 2.

KAOS will register early next week. Just putting together everyones names as most of our team know each other through just this forum. One team member is outta town and I'm assuming has no internet or this would have happened by now.

I know I should re-read the rules for the BCBL to find this - but can anyone tell me if there are going to be BPS limits?? It's possible you may be able to attract a few more teams if people know its not going to be a 'who has more paint in the air' contest... My response to the thread is this: WORST POSSIBLE TIMING - for myself...I'm stoked to see BC Tac and Walrus in particular step forward in this regard. I have the will, the desire, and the playing group to put together a team but I am in RCMP application limbo and I could be called to train in Regina at any time and so can't commit to the year. I'm hopeful that the league will forge ahead and work - because I will be back in BC and really want to put together a team. 'Competitive' woodsball is long overdue around here and if everyone was half as passionate about the new league as they have said in passing before this was even a glimmer on the horizon it can work!! I will try to support this in any way I can!

I really don't want to upset anyone but I hope the powers at be reconsider the league events. There has been a lot of input regarding the schedule and paying for the league upfront or by event. For the most part it is pretty consistent that everyone across the board would prefer a by-event BCBL League. I do not want to see a great thing "BCBL", fade into a distant memory. I think it has tremendous potential and will be more and more successful as word gets out. At the beginning of the season maybe only 3 or 4 teams do show up. After some marketing that Walrus is working on as we speak and word of mouth it could grow throughout the season. This would also allow teams to be put together later into the season as well as teams from outside of Kelowna to drop in and take on some of our finest (fighting hobos) squads. Just my thoughts really really really don't want to offend or piss anyone off. I understand how much time and energy Walrus and Spencer have put into making this happen. Thank you both and happy brain storming.
